What needs to be achieved?
Indici was born from a ground-breaking collaboration between Valentia Technologies and the Pinnacle Midlands Health Network. The aim was to provide a practice management system based 100% in the cloud and designed specifically to support joined up healthcare and progressive treatment models such as Healthcare at Home
Solutions Provided:
Once the brief was given by the client, I started working on the wireframes. I made sure that I cover each aspect of the webapp and provide client with a design that will fit into their vision. I presented with the complete wireframe layout with the following things.
1) Mood Boards
2) Wireframes with flows for each side case
3) UI/UX design of the complete webapp
4) Mockups to enlighten the design
Key Highlights from the Design:
- User-Centered Design: Focused on user needs, goals, and behaviors at every stage while I was designing the layout.
- Intuitive Navigation: Kept navigation simple, predictable, and easily accessible.
- Responsive Design: Ensure seamless experience across all devices (mobile, tablet,
desktop). - Clear Visual Hierarchy: Used size, color, and spacing to guide users’ attention.
- Consistency: Maintained uniform styling for buttons, fonts, and UI elements.
- Minimalism: Avoided clutter — prioritize essential features and content.
- Accessibility: Designed for all users, including those with disabilities (use alt texts,
readable fonts, sufficient contrast). - Fast Loading Time: Optimized images, code, and server responses for speed.
- Feedback Mechanisms: Provided real-time feedback on user actions (like form
submissions, errors, loading states). - Security: Incorporated SSL, secure authentication, and protect user data.
- Error Handling: Designed clear, helpful error messages and fallback states.
- Scalability: Built a design system that can grow with new features and updates.
- Microinteractions: Added subtle animations to improve engagement and usability
without overwhelming users. - Performance Tracking: Integrated analytics to monitor how users interact with the app
and identify areas for improvement.
Validation:
n A/B testing, users preferred features without infographics, confirming our dedication to userfriendly design and customer satisfaction. Throughout our A/B testing process, we conducted multiple rounds to assess two versions of our features—one with infographics and the other without. Notably, a significant portion of our users, including middle-aged shift workers, consistently preferred the version without infographics, finding it more straightforward to understand. Given the diverse demographics of our user base, this outcome was especially significant. Payday clarity, streamlined navigation, pay cycle insights, earnings forecasts, and earnings trends, among other new features, were well received by customers. They also liked that the withdrawal option was near the balance card because they thought it was easier to use and more intuitive. Additionally, users liked the contrast on the second screen, emphasizing our commitment to enhancing the user experience based on valuable feedback and user preferences
Results:
Resulting in a remarkable 100% boost in user retention and a significant 70% rise in new signups, the enhancements have firmly strengthened our standing within the health services sector. User feedback strongly reflects the transformative effect of the improvements made to Indici.
Many users commend the revamped platform for delivering a smoother and more intuitive experience, while others specifically highlight the enhanced clarity, transparency, and the introduction of powerful financial planning tools, emphasizing the real-world benefits they’ve gained. A common theme throughout the feedback is the sense of greater financial security and control, enabling users to better predict earnings, track income patterns, and plan strategically for the future.
